I must admit: I did not make the best of this trip to Italy over Easter photographically. But lame of foot as I am, constantly struggling with pain, I was often satisfied with sitting in the garden of our lovely house with a glass of wine enjoying the panorama of the tuscanian hills with Volterra on a cliff on the other side of the valley.
May others roam the streets of Siena or San Gimignano — I liked Lari and its castle and Terriciola just as much. This was supposed to be a holiday for relaxing in the first place, not an educational journey. Getting a bad cold (nasty cough especially) in the cold wind from the east before Easter did not fuel my drive to explore the region either. Yet I found it a little sad that my old workhorse, the Contax RTS II jammed after the first frame. So I took no analog photos and the Zeiss 18mm and 85mm were useless this time. Perhaps a good reason to go back to Tuscany some day.
Sieht nach einer sehr erholsamen Zeit aus. 🙂
